I dont think so: Iressa is a brand/trade name of gefitinib. There is no significant difference between gefitinib and iressa- besides the fact that gefitinib is the generic of iressa.

International?: Faulty trials sullied gefitinib that was approved. Survival in nsclc appeared better with erlotinib, but population differences were different, likely accounting for the effect rather than the drugs. Fda & pharma caution you not to look abroad. Caveat emptor. Canada?

Fewer than with: Erlotinib, the tyrosine kinase inhibitor that replaced it. The scary risk was , 1% incidence of pneumonitis mostly in asians, mild diarrhea (more harsh with erlotinib), skin acne-like reactions, eye lid and nail bed problems.
