how safe are testosterone injections (low doses) for women over the age of 40. what benefits should i expect and side effects? thank u

Not FDA approved: Testosterone injections are not approved for use in women. Neither are patches or gels/creams/lotions. There are some oral combination hormone pills for menopausal women which contain both estrogen & T but they're not widely prescribed. Benefits & side effects are similar regardless of gender. However, do beware of virilization, hirsutism, clitoromegaly etc if excess T. Discuss w/your FamilyDoc.

Low T: Firstly do not try to self treat. Secondly HGH are painful injections. You must have a full work up as there are many other causes of Low T.
