A 18-year-old female asked:

I just came home from the bahamas and i have about 100 bug bites total covering legs arms and back. how can i stop the itching and do i have malaria?

Unlikely: This is not typical for malaria. Consider an antihistamine such as otc cetirizine. Also, keeping the skin well hydrated and moisturized (non-alcohol containing product such as Vanicream, Eucerin or CeraVe) may help to significantly reduce itch. Cool compress may also help. Watch out for any sign of infection (increased redness or pus) with any of the bites.
