Maybe: The issue is complex, and depends on age, symptoms, medical problems, history, and exam. An MRI should easily help sort this out. Getting the MRI doesn't indicate anything, so don't worry, and wait for the results. Be sure all your questions are answered afterward by whomever ordered the MRI, and whether or not a referral is necessary to a specialist. Hope this helps!
