Several: 1. Determine the cause and reverse or treat it 2. Expand volume with fluid (usually normal saline) 3. Constrict areriolar vessels with pressor agents ( like norepinephrine/levophed). If all 3 fail, and shock is present, the outlook is grim.

Low blood pressure symptoms and treatment useful?

Depends: For some people, such as an athlete, "low" blood pressure is normal . A blood pressure is considered too low if it can't support normal body functions. Low blood pressure may result in dizzyness, lethargy, confusion, nausea, cold sweats, passing out. Treatment is necessary if symptoms are present. Might be as simple as changing your diet, drinking more water or taking medications. See an md!
