IT may but rarely: It can cause Abdominal pain,nausea/vomiting and/or diarrhea and if these symptoms persist it may lower appetite
But most of the times there I no loss of appetite.
It is a relatively safe drug available over the counter without prescription.
Like any drug it may have side effects in some patients and are many listed.It is not dangerous most of the time and is well tolerated

Not usually: Zantac (ranitidine) does not usually have that side effect, but everyone is different. If you are having less appetite after taking it then I would avoid it and try another medication if you are having heartburn.
