A 43-year-old member asked:
how can you distinguish between colon cancer and prostate cancer?

Hematology and Oncology 39 years experience
Exam and other tests: early stage colon cancer I can be detected with colonoscopy. Early stage prostate cancer is found with exam and biopsy.
If you are talking about metastatic disease found elsewhere, special stains on the biopsied cells, and blood tests can differentiate.
