Lt Leg Swells-SI Jt?: I have not commonly witnessed patients with the dx of SI joint pain ( with evidence of sclerosis on x-ray or other imaging studies) complain of pain or swelling below their knees. Usually I hear that symptoms stop in the upper or mid back of thigh. Ask your medical provider to look at other diagnoses before pinning the swelling on SI joint sclerosis. You might just have atypical SI Jt pain pres.
