Epipen (epinephrine): By prescription only to the best of my knowledge. Discuss this with you family physician.

Prescription: Talk to your provider about your allergic reaction. If you've never had an EpiPen (epinephrine) before, ask the pharmacist to show you how it works. There is a practice delivery pen that comes with the real device. Practice frequently so it will be reflexive, second-nature if you have to use it in an emergency situation.

Agree..: I agree with previous answers, but will add that you should see an allergist. Venom allergy is life threatening even if you have an epipen (epinephrine). An allergist can provide testing to assess for risk and offer immunotherapy to train the immune system to react less severely in the event of accidental sting. Best wishes!

Bee allergy: The EpiPen (epinephrine) can be prescribed by a clinician with a DEA number.

Also see an allergist for possible desensitization, much safer for later reactions if exposed, check aaaai.org or acaai.org for an allergist in your area
