Cramps and spotting: Are your symptoms new or has it been happening like this over a period of several months? Is it possible that you are pregnant? If not and if these symptoms have been occuring for more than 6 months then your Gyn will want to determine if you have endometriosis, ovarian cysts and/or uterine fibroids. she will do a pelvic sono and possbly a diagnostic laparoscopy if the sono appears "normal".
