Ultrasound showed a gestational sac of 9 wks. Fetal pole not clearly visualized corresponding to 8wks 3 days, unable to detect fetal heart motion. ?

Dr. Mary David
Specializes in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Repeat: The difficulty visualizing the fetal pole and heart beat at 9 weeks could be a result of the quality of the ultrasound. A repeat ultrasound and/or serial quantitative HCGs would help to clarify what is going on. Hope this helps.
