what on my cmp blood test would suggest a severe vitamin d deficiency?

Vitamin D3 panel is: ordered separately as a specialty test and not routinely found on a complete blood chemistry test or CBC. It can be added on by your doctor and ordered as '25, hydroxy Vitamin D3' panel with D2. Otherwise your doctor will order Vitamin D without specifying & you'll end up getting only the Vitamin D2 levels (Storage form) and that's normal in 99% of the population. It doesn't equal active D3 levels.
