Yes.it can: This congenital defect is often associated with a sinus venosus defect ,not easy to detect by routine cardiac echo. The consequence of either or both lesion is related to volume overload on the right heart which eventually leads to atrial fib. You need consultation with a cardiologist to determine the next step
