hi.i have folate deficiancy at 2. but my feritin levels are very high. i have been given folic acid to take everyday. are the two linked?

Complete workup: You need to find out why you're folate (folic acid) deficient. This may simply involve modifying your diet to include more folate (folic acid)-rich foods. However,a very high serum ferritin warns of hemochromatosis. This is deadly if neglected but easily managed. They are not connected. Insist on a full explanation from your physician.
