The doctor phoned stating that my 9 yr old daughters chest x-ray showed calcification of a cyst on her thyroid what does this mean??

Cyst: Often you find benign findings on X-ray. Cysts are common to the thyroid and they can get calcified. Probably more important is does your daughter have any symptoms? Talk to your provider lab studies may be needed if thyroid symptoms. An ultrasound would define the cyst better.
