what are the causes of infertility?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Andrew Silverman
48 years experience Fertility Medicine
Cause of infertility: The causes are many. 40% of cases it's due to a problem in the woman, and 40% are due to a problem in the male. The remaining 20% are of unknown origin. You need to go through a work up (which can be completed in 2 moths) prior to starting treatment. The majority of couples can be helped and will overcome their infertility.
