Dear doctor, i need advise of using benadryl-d allergy and sinus for my son. i plan to give him 0.5 tsp only at night. is that safe?

It is safe: Be aware that a sinus infection may need an antibiotic if that is what you are asking. If it is just a cold and congestion, benadryl (diphenhydramine) should help. Presence of a fever may need evaluation.

Likely ok: However the D part tends to keep him awake while the Benadryl (diphenhydramine) part make him sleepy. Hopefully these effects balance out but one cannot be sure. Whether he should be taking Benadryl (diphenhydramine) D is another question.
