A 39-year-old female asked:

Longer period, watery blood with some clots and some clear clots. Should i be worried?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. David Izenberg
Family Medicine 36 years experience
This is not easy: If this is the first time that this has happened, it may be a good time to consult your ob/gyn. Periods can vary in intensity, duration, and texture for a number of reasons, many of which are natural, however, if you have very consistent menses (periods) and suddenly see a change, id rather you were safe by getting the opinion of an ob/gyn done by an examination. May possibly need an ultrasound.
