Hyperthyroidism: There are reasons why you may have been hyperthyroid at one point, and then normal. One is a transient thyroiditis, which can make your neck tender (but not always), thyroid inflammed, hyperthyroid, and then resolve. This is a benign condition. Or you may have low grade graves disease. Stay with your doctor and follow this. A beta blocker for your symptoms may help.
