Could the wrong treatment of hyperthyroidism cause any serious health damage? i have been following my own treatment but don't feel very well lately

Need endocrinologist: Treatment of hyperthyroidism should not be taken lightly. Working with a good endocrinologist is the best way to get this under control. Left untreated hyperthyroidism can result in "thyroid storm" which can be fatal.

Needs to be treated: You don't say what your own treatment is. Methimazole is a good antithyroid drug, but you can take too much, too little, or it can be causing you a side effect. You need to see an endocrinologist and work with him/her on a treatment plan.
