87 yr old dad just had partial gastrectomy for adenocarcinoma. 26 lymph nodes removed & 9 tested positive. is there hope w/ that prognosis? what next?

N3 disease: What is the stage exactly? With 9 lymph nodes being +, his stage ranges from iib to iiic- with 5 year overall survival range from 33% to 9% with surgery alone. He would be ideally needing an adjuvant therapy post surgery- however the case is not that simple. His age and other medical problems have to be calculated. Discuss further with your oncologist re- pros and cons of radiation+chemo vs obs.
