Xylitol works too!: Xylitol use greatly reduces reduces tooth decay rates both in high-risk groups (high caries prevalence, poor nutrition, and poor oral hygiene) and in low-risk groups (low caries incidence using all current prevention recommendations). Sugarfree chewing gums & candies are made with xylitol because it is a safe, natural & effective way to keep your mouth healthy. Found arbonne & tom's of maine.

Depends : You've probably used Fluoride toothpastes your whole life without a problem. This is probably an isolated incident. Give it another try. Don't brush when you feel very full (it might make you gag). Try not to swallow the toothpaste.

Alternatives: There is no exact equivalent for Fluoride toothpastes. It may be some other ingredient that's upsetting you. Use minimum amount; try another brand; ask your dentist about mi paste. If you brush and floss well after meals and eat nutritiously, you don't have to use a Fluoride toothpaste. Discuss this issue with your own dentist.

Carifree: You can look into toothpastes that promote xylitol or you can talk to your dentist about homeopathy, but understand the pros, cons, risks.
