Can bucket handle tear of medial meniscus be cured without surgery by doing physical therapy?

No: However a small tear that doesn't impede knee rom can be stabilized with appropriate knee strengthening.

No: The tear itself cannot be cured without surgery, the meniscus is a relatively avascular structure and has no ability to heal a bucket handle tear (peripheral tears can heal). Physical therapy can strengthen the knee muscles that have become weaked because of the tear but often pt makes a bucket handle tear feel worse.
