Maybe not. See Dr.: "doesn't sit up" means different things to different people. A pediatrician can review the baby's development to see if she has been gaining new skills. A baby who learns or does something new every week or two, and has no obvious problems, is usually fine. A baby with delays in other areas would need closer follow-up. Some families have normal kids that are later to sit, later to walk, etc...
