are you most fertile right when you stop birth control?

Yes: Our experience is the first cycle after discontinuation of bc pills will be the best hormonal and ovulatory cycle. This is especially true in pcos. If you have regular 28 day cycles though, the difference is much smaller. At 40, if you have any cycle irregularity or questions, you should seek the care of a fertility specialist early rather than waiting. Good luck.

Depends: Women with pcos who cycle with ocp's do have improved fertility for 4 to 6 month after stopping the pill. For most women there will be no difference in their fertility.
