Yes and no: We're all born with different interests and temperments and we learn living skills along the way. Everybody gets criticized & you'll never please all. Someone like you (or me) who's capable and maybe (?) pushy can learn to be more of a diplomat & thus be more effective; shy people can learn about others to get better results when approaching others. Professionals may offer insight, guidance rx.

Lead & Follow: There are many type as who have very good relationships and are admired for their accomplishments. So the context of your being criticized is very important--who is doing the critique and what exactly is being criticized? It's not likely that if you are a hard-charging leader you can rid yourself of that trait. But you can become a leader who inspires--and good leaders know how to follow.
