i develop a high fever after taking a probiotic capsule. this has happened 3 times using different brands months apart. is this a autoimmune disorder?

Allergic rxn: Sounds more like an allergic reaction as opposed to an autoimmune process but this would be very unusual for a med like this.

Herxheimer's: Probiotics can compete with strains currently making up your flora (bacteria currently in your body). As the old strain dies off, it can give a herxheimer's reaction. Recommendations usually involve taking less of the probiotic and/or using activated charcoal (taken two hours away from other medications or supplements) to minimize the reaction.
