Depends: Depends on the area of haircyou want removed. Personally i would rather shave my chest hairs than have simeone put hot wax in my chest and yank off 7 lbs of hair. However you may disagree!

Healthy hair: For healthy hair growth: Get adequate sleep,avoid excess sugar & fat in diet, v carbonated beverages, eat enough protein, exercise regularly. Biotin helps (but don't over do it). Insure you have adequate Iron (think kale & other dark green leafies), Omega 3 fatty acids (think walnuts) and vitamin E (fruits & vegetables).
