Fracture: Well...Did you injure it? If you did, it depends what kind of injury you sustained and how. Usually if its broken you won't be able to walk on it due to the pain, swelling. Get to your podiatrist or local er and they can evaluate you to see what the problem is. You may need an x-ray first.

Depends: On how long it has been and where the fracture is in your foot. Some fractures in the foot can take up to 10 -12 weeks to heal particularly if it is in the proximal 5th metatarsal. Most foot fractures can be treated non-operatively in a cast or walking boot. But some actually need surgery if they dont heal or if they are initially significant and in certain places in your foot. See an ortho doc.

Fractured my foot about 8 months ago and it started throbbing again after I smacked my other foot yesterday. Normal? I'm assuming they're not related

Foot pain: "Sympathy" pain. Unless you had recent trauma to that leg/foot - NOT related. You may have sprained it after hobbling around from the recent opposite foot injury but otherwise did no harm. Good luck.

See a podiatrist, -: -may need further eval., or inserts for your shoes. Certainly worth the time to do so.
