Great question!: For some, spirituality is very closely linked to mental health because it embodies the idea that it's possible to get through suffering. And that such experiences might help us develop into more aware & compassionate human beings. Having a spiritual (not necessarily religious) point of view may help one feel less alone. It also offers the possibility of there being some meaning to suffering.
