Magnesium deficiency: One thing to consider is a magnesium deficiency. Taking a magnesium supplement is an easy thing to try and see if that helps. Except for people in kidney failure it is safe to take oral magnesium without medical monitoring. Magnesium plays a role in how the heart beats as well as the muscle tone of blood vessels.
