i have a bad cough it all the time but sometimes it gets so bad i can't breath are sleep what can i do about it?

Cough is a reflex: Initiated by irritation in a bronchial tube. It sends a message to the brain computer (lower brain) that initiates the reflex. If the pulmonary studies are normal it might be that the reflex is too sensitive. I have seen many patients where this is caused by lousy diet that results in oxidative dysfunction in brain.
