Yes: Female sperm live up to 5 days, male sperm up to 3 days. Female sperm swim slower than male sperm because females are carrying heavier genetic material. If you have sex a few days before ovulation, the longer living and slower female sperm can await the egg. If you have sex right before ovulation, faster male sperm more likely penetrate the egg. It is the sperm which determines the baby's sex.
