i have problem of constipation and bowel movements. its not regular and have to sit for hours on comode. i have tried lot many things but of no avail.

See Dr: While it is possible you never got quite enough of the remedies to "make the earth move, " if reasonable efforts on your own have failed, you should consult a pro. Primary care dr can start you off & may fix problem, but if not, then can direct you to a good GI specialist.

Fiber and fluids: Try adding a fiber supplement such as MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) or similar, and increase your fluid intake. You might consider taking a magnesium capsule at bedtime. Usually this helps with constipation and also helps with sleep. If you're taking vitamin d don't take at same time as magnesium since vitamin d increases magnesium absorption.
