i've been on steroids for 5 days and the pain in my hip and groin and back is a little better. should i still get the mri of lumbar spine and hip?

Yes: Steroids greatly reduce pain from many causes. You still need to see what is causing your pain.

I usually combine the steroids with back stabilization exercises. The steroid make it better the exercises keep it from getting worse.

More info: Fishing in the dark is hard. Fishing in clear water or with sonar is much easier. Get the scan so your treatment plan is as informed by clear data as possible.
