Inflammation: Likely inflammatory tracheo-bronchitis possibly environmentally induced. Development during exercise may indicate exercise induced wheezing. The yellow color reflects slow transit out of the lung not infection. Possible evaluation includes pfts and if negative a possible methacholine test for exercise related wheezing. If all studies negative a bronchoscopy may be in order as well as a chest ct.
