how long at any one time should heart burn last after taking medication for it? i am 33 weeks pregnant and have had continuous heart burn for 5hrs

Please call your OB: As there are many different meds u can take and u may not be taking he correct one for u, or if it persists and is bad enough u may need a gastrointestinal consult, and if it persisits the rest of yoru preg and they have ruled out anything serious i would rec being indcued at 39 weeks- it is safe, easy and effective, 98 % of my pts ask to be induced at 39-40 weeks due to many situations.

Please see an OB DOC: As the doc can get u on safe meds and do a workup to make sure u do not have an ulcer and it is just morning sickness.
