Health blueprint: The answer lies within our own bodies. If we stop the assault of unhealthy habits, we can tap into the bodies inherent capacity to heal itself. And the best tool we have for doing that is the food we eat. Eating a whole food plant based diet and pursuing an active lifestyle will get you down to a healthy weight and you will lose belly fat in the process. Good luck!

Committment: There is no such thing as spot fat loss. You need to lose weight in general & a certain % will be abdominal fat. Eat healthfully & be physically active. Calories burned must > calories consumed. To tighten ab's do crunches, reverse crunches, exercise ball crunches, pelvic thrusts, lying leg raises, side bridge & “bicycling” exercise on your back. Engage in regular aerobic exercise.

Eat fewer calories: A person with excess belly fat may have "metabolic syndrome" and can benefit from a diet low in sugars & carbohydrates. In general, if a person eats fewer calories than she needs to live on each day, her body will use up the stored fuel (fat). If a person exercises more than she did before, but does not start eating more calories, then her body will also use up the fat (stored fuel).

What's the Question?: Soft belly fat and loose muscles, especially after pregnancy are common and improve with the right diet and exercise. Some people can confuse a hernia with loose fat.

Eat well, exercise: Eat a low calorie diet and supplement it with a good "toning" exercise regimen. Eventually you should lose wight if the amount of calories burned is greater than the amount of calories ingested, and the toning exercise will help shape your abs as you lose the belly fat. May take time though, do not get frustrated and look for an easy fix. Good luck.

No selective loss: Through generalized weight loss. This is done through exercise and healthy eating. However, you will not selectively lose abdominal fat.

Healthy changes: It's not realistic to target weight loss in one particular part of the body. It is more common to lose weight overall just by exercising and diet. The key is to consume less calories than you expend. You can do sit ups and abdominal exercises but you won't see anything until you lose weight overall. Try replacing processed food with natural to start off. Good luck.

Abdominal exercises: To help the tummy look flatter, one can do exercises to build very strong abdominal muscles. It will take a lot of work, and will burn off calories. One must not eat more calories thans he burns off, or she cannot lose weight! Helpful weight loss foods are natural foods that take time to chew but contain few calories. Examples include carrots, celery, and leafy lettuce (without salad dressing).

Hard to focus loss: You will tend carry it in storage sites based on your genetics & body fat content. Many carry a lot within the abdominal cavity while males also carry it in front of their belly muscles. To get "washboard" abs, you will need to drop your total body fat content below 10%, which is accomplished more at the dinner table than the gym. A low carb diet and exercise can help.

Can not target: You need to lose weight. It is not feasible to target one anatomical area. Reduce you food intake and exercise. It may help to join a support group like Weight Watchers.

Diet/exercise: Diet, exercise and weight loss -- it's the only thing that works long term. Target the exercise to your belly to build up the underlying muscles. Belly fat is common if you're overweight and become Insulin resistant. Stay away from fads, supplements and other garbage.
