Classical migraine: Pts with the classical migraine variant do experience visual auras, which cause bright flashes of light and/or loss of vision unilaterally due to effects on the occipital lobe of the brain. Unlikely that you have a structural intracranial lesion, but not a bad idea to see a headache specialist and get treatment for this.
