i have temporal arteritis take 10mg prednisone daily. is that enough to protect my eyesight? stopped methotrexate because it was making me sick.

It maybe enough: Only your doctor can tell you by his/her evaluation and blood tests whether you are responding to your treatment well enough. As you are aware, the treatment may last a long time and is necessary to help to prevent the serious complications of the disease. Always confer with your doctor if any of your symptoms are changing or worsening. Hopefully you have had no ocular involvement.
