A 18-year-old female asked:
does the inflammation at the bottom of my hand make my hand swell? or is that a different issue?

Edema: If you have an inflammatory condition in your hand, even at the 'bottom', it may well create swelling of the entire hand. This is not something to fool with. You can develop very severe problems with your hand very rapidly. Strongly advise you see a hand surgeon asap.
