Oculoplastic surgeon: Although dystonia can limited any or all muscle movement, in certain instances there can be help available. If your niece cannot open her eyes, it is possible to perform a porcedure to allow them to open further. The danger is that the eyes will not be able to close well. It is worth at least speaking with an oculoplastic surgeon and her specialist as well.
