Please check back: With your gastroenterologist if you're still having problems. Sometimes it takes more than one visit to figure things out as duration of symptoms can be an important diagnostic clue. You might also consider getting a 2nd opinion.

Sure its the salad??: Pain as severe as you describe requires emergency evaluation and treatment. Call 911 please ASAP.
