Yes: It's not hard science, but most people who exercise find their body reaches a comfortable zone, the right weight for them. Being fit seems to program the brain to eat more in keeping with what's right for the body. I'd urge you also to stay fit for the conditioning effect on your muscles alone -- greatly helps the body's metabolic symphony. Good luck.
