How long before my glucose tolerance test should I be drinking the glucose?

Depends: It depends. If you are having the initial 1 hour glucose challenge test performed at 24-28 weeks, you will have bloodwork drawn one hour after drinking the glucola. If you failed the 1 hour sugar test, a 3 hour sugar test would be performed and blood would be drawn before you drink the glucola and at 1, 2 and 3 hours later.
