It depends...: This partly depends on how aggressively you wish to prevent various illnesses as well as family history/risk factors.I advise everyone take vit. C 1-2000 mg 2x/day &a quality mulitivit. That includes the 5-mtfh form of Folic Acid & 5000 units of vit. D in winter months.To prevent osteoporosis at least 1 mg of vit, k & perhaps a quality calcium/mag. Consider ashwagandha or rhodiola as herbal tonic.

Absolutely: This is a good idea especially since many americans on both "junk food" and "healthy enlightened" diets are demonstrably deficient in one or more basic nutrients. A good vitamin and mineral supplement should not cost you more than maybe ten us dollars per year. Anyone offering more is trying to bamboozle you.
