Not a good program?: Ur program may b wrong 4 u. Get an at-c 2 set u up. U need 2 b doing exercise 4 each muscle group & that means u need 2 kno how 2 isolate each 1. In a nutshell , u start at a wt u can lift 4 3 series of 10. If can finish add more wt 2 the point u can't finish #3. Work till u can & increase. Hydrate, 1 hard day next easy ? Cardio, then hard ect. Need protein supplement esp if dieting.

So you have one of the two answers for "functional" strength training. The other is sports or activity related resistance exercise, specifically designed for competition in a given sport. Cardio and strength : With any workout program the goal is what is ultimately important. Also where you are starting out help to establish the program. A good general resistance program for strength and endurance is the "body for life" program. I think that a complimentary cardio program would be "high intensity interval " program.
