Normal: Women typically ovulate when not using hormonal contraception. The process of ovulation creates ovarian cysts, which are known as "physiologic" or natural to the body. There is not much to do. Usually these cysts will go away as you progress through your menstrual cycle. Some physicians may choose to repeat an ultrasound in 3 months to follow the cyst progression or resolution.
