A 30-year-old male asked:

Over the past 2 years, i developed painful swellings in first a finger, then a toe, then multiple, then shoulders, now hips, etc. it is cumulative. i can barely move at times and it is getting worse. possible diagnosis?

Rheumatological: The symptoms you describe sound like they might be caused by some rheumatological condition. There are a number of screening blood tests that can be performed to help get an idea if this is the case. I careful exam and history by a physician can also be of great help. I would see your doctor and perhaps a rheumatology consult is warranted.
