Itching eyes: I like ketotifen eye drops (refresh). No steroids. Ask your doc.

If the itching is occasional, simple refrigerated artificial tears or cold compresses may work. If your child has systemic allergy symptoms, and oral antihistamine will help itchy eyes. If the symptoms are just in the eyes, I recommend trying OTC ketotifen ophthalmic--found in Zaditor and Alaway drops
